Once upon a time there was this group formed between a few of the largest Internet Interchange services. Their aim was to provide filtering services for large media conglomerates so the large media conglomerates would not receive highly opinionated mail of a nature that would make them think twice about what they were doing.The group collected offensive postings on message boards for the purpose of extracting the I.P. Addresses of the computer from which the message originated.
With the I.P. Address of your computer in their hands, they could literally make trouble for you by blocking all of your postings and e-mails going anywhere because your I.P. Address does not change, no matter how many different Logon I.D.'s you have; No matter how many different e-mail accounts you have.
The group has collected a massive database of I.P. addresses. I.P. Addresses of political and religious ideologies that don't fall in line with the group's beliefs.
The group has recently stepped up SPAM toward all the e-mail addresses linked to the I.P. addresses. Hidden in the SPAM are viruses meant to not kill your computer, but to make you think you are not getting any responses from large media conglomerates.
Since there is no Security of Information Exchange Commission, this group can and will interfere with Democratic and Third Party political communication on the Internet.
The next time you want to send an e-mail to a Journalist at a major newspaper, and all you get back is a "Failure" message claiming that you sent a file attachment that does not exist on your computer, it's the group up to no good. Working against your freedom of speech.
